Wonderful Weekend...

So this weekend started with a box of delicious cookies. I made a trip to Trader Joe's. It's been awhile since I've shopped the unique food items so I thought i'd stop in to see what there seasonal items were on display. I bought these cookies and they are delicious!

and also bought these Pumpkin Spice herbal blend tea. I am trying this today! A great afternoon beverage... oh and of course with the cookies!

my kids think they are funny... we were out to dinner at Luna's Pizzaria, my favorite family italian restaurant in clovis!

I put all of these lovely colored yarns in my basket... then I sat, looked at them to see what I could make. Well, I made some wristwarmers. I love color!

These are my Fiesta Fingerless Gloves. They were really easy to make but yes, needed a lot of yarn colors. I love them! So bright and cherry! A thought... make them yourself, click here for the pattern! So, you don't want to buy all of the yarn colors... click here for the pattern kit!

Then I thought of course I will make a pattern to load in my Etsy shop, and then thought... it would be hard to buy all of these yarn color skeins so I created a Crochet Pattern Kit. I will send all of the yarn needed along with the pattern. Pretty clever I might add.

Time for a break, I made some queso for my family to enjoy.... yes it was yummy! Of course it was a Pioneer Woman recipe. I just love her easy recipes... so tasty! You can find it here.

Doesn't it look delicious! It was.

Then I made another pair of fingerless gloves with my yarn selections. I love these colors too! Again, they are cheery!

I even love the snippets of yarn from the projects I made. I may put these in a large jar just to admire my hard work!

So now I am working on a camouflage beanie to add to my shop. So happy Monday you all! And don't forget to enter my giveaway listed here on my blog! Ends tomorrow!

Yes! I enjoy fall... I really do. I love the color changes of the leaves, the cooler temps, warm beverages and sweatshirts. I'm looking forward to football games with friends, sitting by the fire pit in the backyard, and fall decorating. I recently moved and now I have lots of trees to hang cute stuff. Excited! Today I am posting some finds from Pinterest.

What a weekend!

It's been a long time Royal Icing! I uses to love making frosted cut out cookies but for the last 5 years we lived in a house that had little counter space. It was horrible! We moved a few weeks ago and  now I have a larger sociable kitchen with plenty of counter space! Yahoo! I have room to roll out the dough without knocking something with the rolling pin. My daughter asked me a few months ago if I'd make these cookies for her friends baby shower. I did it! I believe there will be more cookies in the near future!

So Saturday morning... Chase and I headed on a road trip to a tourney in Camarillo, CA. It was about a four hour drive. It was actually a nice drive.

Of course this Pepsi kept me awake!

Great weather and great baseball with the Web Gems this weekend! That's my son... #1. I was able to wear jeans and a sweatshirt! Great coastal weather! We did do some shopping at the Camarillo Outlets. What a great place to shop.

Yes I had to get some kettle corn. There was a vendor there on Saturday making the kettle corn on the spot! Wind was blowing thx delicious smell my way. I had to buy some Saturday!

So of course my crochet goes with me wherever I go. I started making a scarf sample while watching the game. Check out my Etsy Shop!

I thought I would be bold with the colors. I think seeing bold colors make people happy

Now how cool is this! It's a portable concession stand! I want one! I could sell baseball cookies!

So we ended up playing the championship game at 6pm. And we were 4 hours from home! We won the game. My son is getting his plaque. We ended up hitting the road at 9pm. Ugh!

This sign said 2 right lines closed ahead on the Grapevine. Ridiculous! It took me 5 hours to get home! It was a great weekend spending time with my son. We ate at Sharky's in Camarillo for lunch.

We also saw some planes in an air show flying right over us! I would if enjoyed pulling out my folding chair and watch the entire show. Really cool. Some of them looked like the model plane Courtney made for school last year.

Next weekend we are off to Huntingtin Beach for Courtney's club soccer. Chase will go with us... It should be another fun weekend! So for now... Have a great week everyone! I'm thinking of barbecuing tonight for dinner! Caesar bought a new BBQ!
